Metal Braces
Metal braces are the most common type of braces used. Metal Brackets are made of high-grade stainless steel. Today's metal braces are smaller, more comfortable and more attractive. At Petrey Orthodontics we feature the Dentaurum Equilibrium Mini bracket, the smallest orthodontic bracket on the market.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of translucent (clear) material. They are most esthetic option for both adult and child patients. The only drawback to ceramic brackets are that they are more fragile, and the elastic ties can discolor between orthodontic visits.
Lingual Braces
Lingual braces are the most esthetic option for Orthodontic therapy. Lingual braces are placed on the back of the teeth and are not visible in most situations. Unfortunately not all patients' bites can be corrected with Lingual braces. Please feel free to discuss options of Lingual braces with Dr. Petrey at your consultation appointment.
Clear Aligners
The Invisalign® System and Clear Aligners are a series of retainer aligners that gradually move the teeth. This system is available to patients with limited orthodontic bite problems or for minor orthodonitc relapse. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign® system or Clear Aligners.
